Residents wait for their turn at the mobile DMV ofice Thursday, April 7. Thermal Belt Rotary Club members recently completed the installation of two new benches, placed in front of the Columbus post office on Ward St. These benches will provide a respite from the long lines that form when the North Carolina DMV mobile unit sets up. The benches were locally designed and installed by members of the club and Bill Crowell, owner and master ironsmith of Saluda Forge in Tryon. Several Rotarians completed the installation.
