Eighth grade students from Polk County Middle School prepare to release 120 rainbow trout fingerlings into the North Pacolet River at Harmon Field. This event was part of the Trout in the Classroom program sponsored by the Pisgah Chapter of Trout Unlimited. Starting in September, students observed development of trout from eggs to fry to fingerling stage, while learning about the importance of maintaining clean habitat for fish and other aquatic creatures.
