Joseph Wayne Forthman, 49, of 97 Kate Lane, Columbus, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 quietly at home after a long battle with poor health.
He was born at Camp Lejeune, N.C., to the late Homer and Ann Youngblood Forthman.
He is survived by his wife, Christine, and son, Joseph, both of Landrum; three daughters, Sandra of Black Mountain, N.C.; Amanda of Tryon and Brittney of Columbus. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Destanee and Samantha, as well as brothers: Ricky, Ronnie and Kenny; sister, Debbie; niece, Elizabeth and nephews, Daniel and Kenny.
The family will receive loved ones and friends for a memorial service 11 a.m. Thursday, March 24 at Lynn First Baptist Church, Thermal View Drive, Lynn, with Pastor Donald Vess officiating.
He was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
