The Polk County Republican Party Precinct/County Convention will be held March 5 in the historic Polk County Courthouse. Precinct conventions will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the county convention. All registered Polk County residents are encouraged to attend.

Precinct and county conventions are an opportunity for every registered Republican to participate in determining the direction of the Republican Party through the election of precinct officers, county officers, the county executive committee and the county finance committee.

“We encourage all Polk County Republicans to participate in the precinct and county conventions. We encourage people to step up and run for office,” organizers said. “If we are going to change the direction of our county and our country, it begins at the grassroots level – it begins in our precincts.”
