Winfred Daniel Suber, 20, of East Flat Rock, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born in Spartanburg, S.C., the son of Winfred Daniel Suber Sr. and Tracey Denise Wilburn Suber. He was a prior resident of Tryon before moving to Henderson County five years ago. He attended East Henderson High School, where he was a football standout. He had worked at Carolina Village as a dietary assistant. He attended Union Grove Church.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joe Thomas and Evelyn Suber Thomas and maternal grandfather, Henry C. Wilburn.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Tori Suber, Porsha Suber and Jacob Suber, all of East Flat Rock; a nephew, Javanni Godfrey Suber, and maternal grandmother, Barbara J. Wilbur of South Carolina.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 at Garrison Chapel, Markham Road, Tryon, with the Reverend Pastor Keith D. Knox officiating. Pastor Billy Waters will present the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Good Shepherd Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25 at Wilson Funeral Directors in Hendersonville, and one hour before services at the church.
