The following is recent news and upcoming events from Blue Ridge Christian Academy (BRCA).

• BRCA eighth grader Luke McDonald placed second in his grade level at the BRCA ACSI Spelling Bee, therefore advancing to the final Spell-Off Round where he placed third overall. McDonald will attend the ACSI District Spelling Bee to be held in March in Atlanta.

• Upward soccer evaluations will be held at BRCA on Feb. 26 and March 5. The league is open to all K5-6th grade students in the community. Visit www.brca.us or call 895-9008 for registration information.

• Home school students are invited to register and take AP Exams at BRCA. Call Diana Baker at 895-9008 for fees, dates and registration information.

• BRCA is now accepting applications for the 2011-2012 academic year. Applications can be downloaded at www.brca.us. Call 895-9008 or email office@brca.us to schedule tours and/or testing.
