Polk district court results

In Polk County District Court held Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 with Judge T. Mack Brittain presiding, 64 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court. The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are as given in court records):

Tina R. Allen was convicted of two counts of failure to comply with community service and failure to comply with monies. Allen’s sentence was revoked and modified to include 30 days at the N.C. Department of Corrections.

Dustin Lee Martin was convicted of speeding 93 m.p.h. in a 65 m.p.h. zone. Martin was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $95 fine and court costs.

Ricky A. Tucker was convicted of simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tucker was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Brandy Leigh Wallace was convicted of speeding 96 m.p.h. in a 65 m.p.h. zone. Wallace was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
