Lucy Mae Russell Morgan, 85, of Mtn. Page Rd., Saluda, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011 in Autumn Care Nursing Facility in Saluda.
A native of Henderson County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Rev. General Benjamin and Adeline Lanning Russell. She was the wife of Leland Morgan, who died in 1997. Mrs. Morgan retired from Bommer Spring-Hinge Co. in 1987. She taught ceramics at White Oak Manor in Tryon and Isothermal Community College in Columbus.
Surviving are three sons, Leon Morgan (Judy), Ronnie Morgan and Ralph Morgan (Carolyn), all of Saluda. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Tammy Frisbee, Tangela Ciarvolo, Tonya Pace, Jeremy Morgan, Heather Morgan and Jessica Morgan Mease; six great-grandchildren, Scarlett Frisbee, Morgan Banther, Jessie Morgan, Hayes Morgan, Kye Morgan and Cynthia Pace and a great-grandson expected soon. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Barbara Bernice Morgan, who died in 1945.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011 in Mtn. Page Baptist Church, Saluda, with Rev. Eddie Capps and Rev. Perry Forrest officiating.
Burial will be in Mtn. Page Baptist Church Cemetery, Saluda.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2001 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon.

At other times, the family will be at the home of Ralph Morgan of Saluda.
