Beth Ledford and Sonia Foy, the subjects of an eligibility review by the Polk County Board of Elections, both removed their names from the Polk County voter registration list after receiving letters from the board of elections.
An article in the Jan. 19 Bulletin about the eligibility review incorrectly said Dale Edwards, the board’s director, would not provide the names of the voters.
Edwards did not mention the voters’ names in the board meeting, but she later said she was not trying to withhold information and identified the voters as Ledford and Foy.
The statement in the earlier article was the Bulletin’s error and not an effort on Edwards’ part to withhold public information.
Edwards said the board of elections would take no further action on the matter.
