TDB should proofread carefully

To the Editor:
Regarding the article printed Dec. 21 “Winter weather catalyst…,” a chimney has a flue, not a flew. The birds flew, and a dog has flews, but it doesn’t work with chimneys.
Also, electrical appliances have cords, not chords (chords was incorrectly used five times).
While these are errors that would not have been recognized by spellcheck, hopefully some careful proofreading will prevent any further embarrassment to the TDB.
