Recently N.C. District Attorney Jeff Hunt addressed Susan Collins’ class of juniors and seniors at Polk County High School.
The class engages in a Moot Court case each year; and Hunt with Assistant District Attorney Doug Mundy delivered a program on our court system, the district attorney’s role and some procedural suggestions.
In early December Hunt addressed the Henderson County University Club at the Hendersonville Country Club. Having addressed this group last year covering the role of North Carolina district attorneys and the court system; this year Hunt’s topic was: “The United States and North Carolina Constitutions, the court system therein established and the capitalist economy our founders intended.”
As district attorney, Hunt makes himself available to speak on prosecutorial and court related topics. He addresses school classes, civic clubs and sometimes adult church Sunday schools. He believes it is important for the elected district attorney to continually interface with our community members in and out of the courtroom in order to keep apprised of our communities’ standards and priorities.
Hunt received a B.A. in economics from Wake Forest University and his law degree from Wake Forest School of Law.
