Polk district court results

Nov. 17 session
In Polk County District Court held on Nov. 17, 2010 with Judge T. Mack Brittain presiding, 116 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are as given in court records):
Bradley Earl Bell was convicted of possession of an open container/consumption of alcohol in passenger area. Bell was sentenced to pay court costs.
Kenneth M. Bennett was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Bennett was fined $40 and court costs.
David J. Bowling was convicted of possession of an open container/consumption of alcohol in passenger area. Bowling was fined $50 and court costs.
Kathy A. Compton was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Compton was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Jason Eastland was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Eastland was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, $1,000 in restitution, a $100 fine and court costs.
Aaron Robert Finch was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Finch was fined $40 and court costs.
Seneca Lamont Fritts was convicted of speeding 98 m.p.h. in a 65 m.p.h. zone. Fritts was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $98 fine and court costs.
Dusty Corman Gibson was convicted of driving while license revoked. Gibson was sentenced to 24 hours of community service.
Heather Hart was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation out of county. Hart’s probation was continued for 30 days.
Deborah Aldrich Hodge was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Hodge was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Richard Curtis Kain was convicted of speeding 91 m.p.h. in a 65 m.p.h. zone. Kain was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $91 fine and court costs.
Richard Cameron Lindsey was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Lindsey was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation and court costs.
Deveney A. Littlejohn was convicted of failure to wear seat belt – front seat. Littlejohn was sentenced to pay court costs.
Chris Leigh McClellan was convicted of probation violation. McClellan’s probation was revoked and sentence activated.
James Keith Pruitt Jr. was convicted of speeding 64 m.p.h. in a 55 m.p.h. zone. Pruitt was fined $50 and court costs.
Jonathan Lee Rudisill was convicted of resisting a public officer. Rudisill was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Casey Eric Taylor was convicted of a misdemeanor probation violation. Taylor’s probation was extended two years.
Heather Laughter Wilson was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Wilson was fined $60 and court costs.
James L. Yett was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Yett was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Nov. 19 session
In Polk County District Court held on Nov. 19, 2010 with Judge David K. Fox presiding, 85 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are as given in court records):
Stephen Philip Bishop was convicted of speeding 44 m.p.h. in a 35 m.p.h. zone. Bishop was fined $40 and court costs.
Debbie Evette Gary was convicted of driving while license revoked. Gary was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $125 fine and court costs.
Norma Watson Hill was convicted of speeding 44 m.p.h. in a 35 m.p.h. zone. Hill was fined $40 and court costs.
Roger Eric Noyes was convicted of speeding 44 m.p.h. in a 35 m.p.h. zone. Noyes was fined $40 and court costs.
Sylvia Thomas Wilkins was convicted of speeding 44 m.p.h. in a 35 m.p.h. zone. Wilkins was fined $40 and court costs.
Mitchell Joseph Martin was convicted of two counts of driving while license revoked. Martin was sentenced to 15 days in jail with credit for time served.
Raymond J. McAtee was convicted of speeding 64 m.p.h. in a 55 m.p.h. zone. McAtee was fined $50 and court costs.
John Glen Williams Jr. was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of a schedule III controlled substance. Williams was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for time served.
