Explore the Arts presents its third program Thursdsay, November 4, at Tryon Fine Arts Center featuring Elaine Pearsons who will demonstrate the process involved in producing her hand-altered, whimsical creations. Everyone will gain insight and inspiration to be able to create their own memories in photographs.

I want my images to reflect the zest, the spirit, and the richness of life itself. This desire eventually led me to my unique treatment called point-o-graphy. These one-of-a-kind portraits become 3-D facades as I photograph, cut out, and apply various key elements of a persons life, loves, and memorabilia to create a feeling of dimension and joy, Pearsons says.

Having worked in New York and Los Angeles as well as locally here in Tryon and environs, Pearsons photographs grace the collections of producers of film and television, as well as members of our community.
