Clyde W. Crissone

Clyde Wilfred Possum Crissone, 57, of Roaring Fork Rd., Burnsville, N.C., passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010 at his home. Born and raised in Polk County, he was the son of the late Clyde and Mary Flanigan Crissone. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Betty Jo Crissone and Kathleen Crissone Sharpe.

Possum was an avid fan of the North Carolina Tarheels and NASCAR Racing.

Surviving are his wife of 29 years: Carol Sue Wilson Crissone of the home; four brothers: David Crissone (Linda) of Columbus, Bill Crissone (Zelma) of the Sunny View Community, Lewis Crissone of Inman, S.C., and John Crissone (Amy) of Hazel Green, Ala. Also five sisters: Peggy Robinson (Bill) of Asheville, Jane Atkins of Columbus, Joyce Harwood (Sonny) of Black Mountain, N.

C., Bobbi Nodine (Tim) of Landrum and Lynne Crissone of Suisun City, Calif. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
