GOLF ROUNDUPOn Sept, 18, the Links OTryon Ladies Golf Association held its annual Member-Guest Tournament. The festivities started with a continental breakfast leading up to the better two-ball tournament.

Finishing in first place was the team of member, Rita Williams and her guests, Linda Miller, Cheryl Kelly, and Melanie Ernst with a team score of 115.&bsp; Finishing second was member, Susi Coghill, and her guests, Judy Wright, Sue Owens, and Mary Kylin with a score of 116. &bsp;

Tied for third were the teams of Diane Frost and guests Elaine Wyman, Pebbie Bell and Susan Nichols along with the team of Barbara Miles, Becky Walker, Mona Register, Hoppy Long and Barbara Salmon.

Club newcomer Henry Martin easily captured the Red Fox Senior Club Championship, shooting a net 63 to win the event by 11 strokes.

In an interview after the event, it was learned that the winner did something that none of the other competitors did: He practiced.
