Cliffs to host NCAA tennis tournament

If you missed center court at Wimbledon or the US Open, dont miss the Cliffs second-annual NCAA Tennis Classic Sept. 24-26 sponsored by the Cliffs Tennis Association. &bsp;
The tournament will be held at the Cliffs Valley, 2 Knightsridge Road, Travelers Rest, off Highway 25 about four miles north of Highway 11. Admission is free.
Matches will take place on Friday, Sept. 24 and Saturday, Sept. 25, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, Sept. 26, 9 a.m. to noon. An awards presentation will follow Sundays matches.
Competitors in this years event will include 40 top collegiate athletes from Furman University, Clemson University, Florida State University, University of Michigan and University of Louisville. &bsp;
Proceeds from the tournament will help fund the Cliffs Residents Outreach, a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit agency representing all Cliffs residents in their outreach to provide food, clothing, medical care and shelter to children and their families in neighboring communities. &bsp;
