Adawehi celebrates International Day of Peace September 20

The International Day of Peace, an annual celebration of the United Nations, is a time when people throughout the world focus on the intent of peace. Communities, organizations, and houses of worship around the globe observe the celebration through prayers, meditations, song, dance, and ceremonies. This Day of Peace is officially September 21.
The Adawehi Community will be celebrating International Day of Peace with activities in synergy with Peace Day celebrants around the world:
Monday and Tuesday, September 20, 21; anytime from 10 a.m. 8 p.m.
While considering new ways to be peace, come in and design your own peace badge at Beneficial Foods. Materials provided. 98 Adawehi Lane off Fox Mountain Rd. in Columbus. Call for directions 828-894-0737.

From 3 to 4 p.m., listen to Jackie and Russell Woods Internet-streamed radio show, Heart Matters, at www.jackiewoods.org. Join the discussions on how to expand peace in your life and on the planet. Write in your questions or comments from your computer for discussion during the show. Another option is to submit your comments early and listen to the archived show at your convenience.
From 6:30 to 8 p.m., visit Jennifer Woods yoga class to learn poses that will support the peace of your entire body, emotions, mind, and spirit. Adawehi Healing Center, 401 Adawehi Ct.&bsp; 828-280-6331.

From wherever you are, join in a moment of silence in observance of the transformational energy of peace.
