PCHA meeting presents chair makers of Coopers Gap Sept. 7

Chair makers from the Coopers Gap area of Polk County will be the guests at the Tuesday, September 7, meeting of the Polk County Historical Association at 2:30 p.m. at the museum in Columbus.

Dorothy Fay Wilson and her brother, Charlie Wilson, are the fourth generation of chair makers and Terry Bradley is the fifth generation of chair makers in their respective families. They will bring exhibits of their chairs as well as the special tools used to make them. They will also bring pictures of their families who have made these chairs for so many years.

Join the chair makers for a part of Polk County history. Everyone is welcome.
