Lifeguards for Shade, a light hearted beauty pageant showcasing the skills and thrills of the Gibson Park Pool lifeguards, will be held on Monday, August 9 at Gibson Park Pool.

The pageant is being held to raise money to help construct a cover for part of the patio. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the show begins at 6 p.m. Admission is free. After the lifeguard has been crowned, the pool will be open for free swim.

This event is by donation only but the winner is chosen by donation and popular support, ie. posters, buttons, T-shirts, etc.
