Lake Adger Fishing Report&bsp;&bsp; &bsp;The fishing just cant get any better. We fished for five hours Wednesday at Lake Adger and caught over one hundred and fifty fish. We could have caught more but we couldnt bait the hooks fast enough. The catch consisted mostly of nice size panfish, five bass, a few crappie and a couple of white bass.The fish are holding close to shade in this heat. Tree tops will prove to be the most productive areas. The top bait was crickets, followed by nightcrawlers, and small artificial spinners, like beetle spins. The red and white bettle spin also caught the white bass. The panfish will bite most anytime but the other fish still prefer early morning and late afternoon. We are hearing that some nice catfish are being caught, but most of the guys fishing for catfish are keeping quiet about where they are catching them. Beach Vacations and Fishing

Going to the beach is not like it use to be? Now all states require you to have a saltwater fishing license. &bsp;

North Carolina requres a Coastal Recreational Fishing License (CRFL).&bsp; All individuals that are 16 years or older who want to recreationally finfish in any water designated as coastal or joint waters of North Carolina must purchase a CRFL must have a license. You can get either a short-term or annual license.

Short-Term License

Short-term licenses are valid for the period specified on the license.&bsp; The cost is $5.

&bsp; Coastal Recreational Fishing 10-Day: Authorizes fishing in coastal and joint waters during the 10-day period specified on the license.

Annual License.

Annual licenses are valid for 12 months from the date of issuance. The cost for the annual license is $15.

&bsp; Coastal Recreational Fishing:&bsp; authorizes fishing in coastal and joint waters during a license term.

Neither license authorizes fishing in coaster and joint waters.

Now the price of licenses in South Carolina do go up for a non-resident. A saltwater license is $11 for 14 days and $35 for an annual license.

But, if you fish off of a pier, they may have a license and you will not need one, but check first. Have fun at the beach and only keep what you can eat that day!
