Darwin Douglas Pee Wee Tessneer

Darwin Douglas Pee Wee Tessneer, 43, of Hwy. 9, Mill Spring went to be with his mother in heaven on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 in Smith Phayer Hospice House in Landrum.

Born in Polk County, he was the son of the late Berton Hyder and Linda Tessneer. He was raised by his grandmother, Ellar Tessneer Faulkner. Pee Wee was retired from the Polk County Landfill and he was an avid Harley rider. Pee Wee was a wonderful husband, brother, father, and uncle who lived life to its fullest.

Surviving are his wife, Lorna Autrey Tessneer; one daughter, Summer Nicole Tessneer of Iowa; a step-daughter, Kayla Autrey of Greenville, S.C.; two sisters, B. J. Bayne of Green Creek and Angel Tessneer of Landrum; a half-brother, Austin Hyder, and a half- sister, Amy Corrigan, both of Landrum.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, N.C. 28722.

Family will be at the home of a sister, B.J. Bayne, 100 Herbert Page Road, Tryon (Green Creek Community).
