Container gardens featured at FENCE Monday, June 14

Through the planning and funding of the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation another free to all gardening seminar will be conducted by Ann Carter of A Growing Concern Nursery. The seminar will be held at FENCE on Monday, June 14 at 10 a.m.

Carter will have at FENCE many examples of planted containers for all locations, be they sunny, shady or in between. Container gardens can brighten any spot and be filled with a profusion of lush annuals, edible herbs, and perennials for all year enjoyment. Even dwarf evergreens including dwarf conifers can be an anchor plant. Learn and see how to combine a lasting focal plant with seasonally changeable annuals.

Carter and her husband, Chuck, have owned and operated Hendersonvilles Growing Concern for 25 years and a year ago this April opened their second nursery in Polk County. Refreshments will be provided.
