Polk edged 7-5 in third round

However, top ranked Wilkes Central came back to win 7-5 and oust Polk from the playoffs in the third round. Brandon Jolley, right, also delivered a home run for the Wolverines on Saturday. His three-run blast gave Polk an early 3-0 lead in the first inning. Wilkes Central, the No. 1 seed from the Mountain Valley Conference, carries a 28-1 season record into the next round.
