Paving work currently being done on I-26 from South Carolina to Saluda will not be done over the holiday weekend, according to N.C. Department of Transportation (DOT) officials.
Work will stop at 6 p.m. today and all lanes of traffic will be open until 7 a.m. next Tuesday. The state is currently paving I-26 through federal stimulus funding.
