Hazel Ford Feagan

Hazel Ford Feagan, 88, of Columbus, died Thursday, May 6 in Smith Phayer Hospice House, Landrum.

Born in Dallas, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Harrison Michael and Minnie Louise McInvale Ford. She retired from Milliken and Co. after 30 years of service. She was a volunteer at St. Lukes Hospital and Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. Mrs. Feagan was a member of The Tryon Church of Christ. She was the widow of Bill Feagan, who died in 2000.

Surviving are: a daughter, Merry Rollins of Fletcher, N.C.; a brother, Howard Ford of&bsp; Dallas, Ga.; a sister, Frances McClough of Corpus Christi, Texas. Also surviving are four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.&bsp; She was preceded in death by a son, James K. Smith, who died in 1990.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 15, 2010 in Green Creek First Baptist Church Cemetery, Green Creek, with Minister Philip Cochran officiating.
