Relay for Life benefit at Elmos

On April 25 from 3 until around 8:30 p.m. there will be a benefit for Relay for Life at Elmos in Tryon.
They will be auctioning golf packages, golf lessons, prints by Gary Page and drawings that will include dinner for two at Foothills BBQ, Mountain View BBQ, haircuts at Paul, a canvas picture from Popspics, Neon signs, autographed books by Lilian Jackson Braun, oil change at Durhams Service and jewelry by Magdalenas.
There will be food and drink specials all day and half of the proceeds will go to Relay for Life. Ten percent of the take at Elmos that day will go to relay for life. There will be a small cover charge at the door which will go to Relay for Life and plenty of tickets for drawings.
Winkie Mintz will be the MC and organizer. If anyone would just like to make a donation they can contact Mintz at the Polk County High School.
The following is the schedule of bands:
3 p.m. – Red Dog and Winkie, 3:40 p.m. – Country Spirit Band, 4:15 p.m. – The Piano Man – Fred, 5 p.m. – Steedwell, 5:50 p.m. – Soap and Whiskey, 6:25 p.m. – Sparkle City Blues All-stars, 7:15 p.m. – Winkie and Red Dog with Special guests Steve Whiteside and Ed Page.
