PCMS Shooting &Hunter Skills Team going to state competition

The Polk County Middle School Shooting & Hunter Skills Team took 2nd place, Saturday, March 20, at the DNR-WNC District 9 Shooting & Hunter Skills Competition, hosted at the Polk County Gun Club.

The team received&bsp; five trophies on Saturday (four team and one individual): 2nd – Jr. Team Overall, 1st – Jr. Team Orienteering, 2nd – Jr. Team Archery, 2nd – Jr. Team Rifle, 1st – Jr. Individual Orienteering. (Dylan Weicker)

The team members are Trevor Arrowood, Larry Dyer (not pictured), Dylan Feagan, Ethan Edwards, Mattison Hoots (not pictured), Bethany Hyder, Andrew Petersen, Daniel Walker and Dylan Weicker.

The coaches are Larry Walker of PCHS/PCMS, Jeff Arrowood of PCMS and Jim Weicker of PCMS. The Polk County Gun Club allowed the team to use their facilities, contributed and supported the team.

The team will be going to State on Saturday, April 24, any donations would be greatly appreciated.
