N.C. GOP urges Ag to challenge health bill

The North Carolina Republican Party has called on N.C. Attorney General Roy Cooper to join numerous other states in challenging the recently passed health care bill. NCGOP Chairman Tom Fetzer says North Carolinians are “overwhelmingly opposed to this usurpation of power,” and the state must protect “our citizens right to make their own healthcare decisions.” The Republican Party calls on Cooper to file suit on the grounds that the mandate requiring every citizen to purchase health insurance is not a power granted to the federal government by the constitution
