Eileen B. Taube

Eileen B. Taube, 95, of Tryon went home to be with the Lord and her loved ones March 22, 2010. Born in Birmingham, Ala., in 1914, she is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Eileen was christened in the Methodist church and was a member of Jackson Grove Methodist Church.
A Southerner transplanted to the north where she enjoyed a number of years in Long Island, N.Y., until her return to the south. She lived in Saluda and Tryon, where she was an active member of the business community, owning Tryon Home Center on Trade Street until her retirement. She was well known for her baking talents. Children in the community and her flower gardens were her major interests. She contributed much to Tryon and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on April 18, 2010 at Jackson Grove Methodist Church.
