Anna Ruth Means

Anna Ruth Means, 79, of Windwood Drive, Columbus died Wednesday, March 10, 2010.
Born in Spartanburg, S.C., she was the daughter of Ruby Nash Brooks of Tryon and the late Elder Brooks. She was a past member of Naomi Chapter of King Solomons Lodge of the Eastern Star and had moved to Polk County in 2003 coming from Spartanburg, S.C. She was a member of the Trinity AME Zion Church, Delta, Pa.
Surviving are: four sons, Robert Means Jr. (Sarah) of Wise, Va.; Samuel Means (Rhonda) of Mt. Wolf, Pa.; Laurence Means (Sheila) of Bowie, Md., and Aaron Means (Sheila) of McAllister, Ok., two daughters, Sandra Means and Bonny Mallya (Walter), both of Baltimore, Md., and a cousin, Ruby Brooks of District Heights, Md. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
There are no local services planned.
Ms. Means will be sent to the William C. Brown Funeral Home in Baltimore, Md., for burial in Western Cemetery, West Baltimore, Md.
