The Polk County Middle School Model Bridge Building Team, on Friday, March 5, placed first in the NC Department of Transportations Model Bridge Building Competition for Western NC held in Morganton. Team members are Cheyenne Young, Rebecca Price, Brandon Hess, Tim Pace and Jonathon Green. Dr. Robert Pettis is the Bridge Building Team advisor and is shown standing in the back row with PCMS guidance counselor Linda Sage. The team will compete at the state finals on April 16 in Raleigh, NC.
