Ed Cochran

Edward Frederick Cochran, 80, of 4863 Peniel Road, Tryon died Tuesday, March 2, 2010.
Born in Polk County, he was the son of the late Franklin J. and Nancy Williams Cochran. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Foley Brothers, Inc. after 27 years of service. Mr. Cochran was a life member of the Polk County Gun Club, past member of the Tryon Riding & Hunt Club, and a member of the Green Creek Hounds.
Surviving are two daughters, Wendy Cochran of Bozeman, Mt., and Nancy C. Hudson of Tryon; one son, William Cochran of Bozeman, Mt.; one brother, Larry Cochran (Mary O.) of Tryon and one sister, Jeanne Lynch of Tryon. Also three grandchildren, Kendall, Sean, and Stephan Cochran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lang Cochran, who died in 1991.
A small memorial celebration will be held at his residence, 4863 Peniel Road, Tryon, Friday, March 12, 2010 beginning at 3 p.m.
