Merely four weeks after significant flooding caused major damage, Watson Flooring and Appliance has finished the clean up and remodeling and the store is now back in full operation.

The flooding occurred during the torrential rainfall the evening of January 24 and caused damages well into the five-figure range.
“Theres a silver lining in every cloud” said Dave Herbert, GM and operating partner. “When we finished the big renovation last fall, we thought the showroom would function exactly as we intended. But, we discovered pretty quickly there were a few things we should have done differently. Having to re-do the store because of the flood gave us an opportunity to make those changes.”
Herbert went on to say that some of the changes included installing a lighter colored wood floor, installing some different carpets and changing the position of some of the displays for better traffic flow.
“Once the store dried out, which took eight days, all of our vendors stepped up as did our staff and flooring installers, to get the store put back together in very quick order” said Herbert. “Im proud of their efforts and proud to have them on our team. The commitment theyve shown to our company and to our customers is outstanding.”
Watson Flooring and Appliance is a member of the Abbey Carpet and Floor Network of dealers and also a member of the Brandsource Buy Group.
