An historic Saluda business, Thompson’s Store and Ward’s Grill, will begin a “going out of business sale” on Feb. 15 if no buyers can be found. “The downturn of the economy has struck us a very hard blow,” said Larry and Debbie Jackson, owners. “and with Larry’s health also being an issue, we can no longer maintain this business. We still believe it is viable and very important to the town of Saluda.”
