Harold “Mac” Vaughn Magaha, 83, of Landrum passed away January 21, 2010. He was the son of the late John Herman and Gertrude Vaughn Magaha and husband of Rita Phillips Magaha. He was retired and was an active member of the Piedmont Paso Fino Horse Association for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons, Tom Magaha of Campobello, Steve Magaha of St. Louis, Mo., Richard Magaha of Anderson, S.C., Capt. John Owens of the U.S. Army stationed in Italy and Michael Owens of Landrum; a daughter, Jan Salley of Ladson; 11 grandchildren and a great grandson.
He was predeceased by a sister, Sybil Tribble.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 24, 2010 in the Petty Funeral Home chapel in Landrum. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Columbia, S.C., on Monday, January 25.
