A Tryon man was arrested last Thursday for allegedly kicking a pregnant woman and throwing a pot of scalding water on her.
Brandon C. Littlejohn, 25, of 90 Peach Street, Tryon was arrested and charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.
According to the incident report, Littlejohn is accused of the assault on a 25-year-old Landrum woman who is five months pregnant with his child.
The disturbance allegedly occurred on Jan. 7 at a Randolph Avenue residence in Landrum.
The victim told investigators that she and Littlejohn had verbal arguments Jan. 6 and Littlejohn became angry with her the following morning when she didnt want to talk with him.
The Landrum Police Department is handling the case and made the arrest last week.
Littlejohn was booked and released last Thursday at the Spartanburg County Detention Center under a $5,000 bond.
