Polk County High School offers first annual FAFSA Day

Polk County High School is opening its Student Services doors to all seniors and their families to complete and electronically submit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

PCHS will hold its first annual FAFSA day on Tuesday, February 16 from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.

PCHS staff will be available to sit down and assist you including special guests, Jeff Boyle, from Isothermal Community Colleges office of Financial Aid and Skip Watts, our regional CFNC representative from the College Foundation of North Carolina.

Come prepared with the following information: 2009 federal tax returns (for you and your student), if not available bring copies of W-2s and other income and asset documents, FAFSA PINs (for you and your student). You can obtain your Personal Identification Number in advance at www.pin.ed.gov.

Also the following will be helpful during the application process: a 2010 FAFSA on the Web Worksheet available at www.fafsa.gov, your Social Security card or alien registration/permanent resident card (if not a U.S. citizen, your drivers license (if applicable)) and any current financial statements and business/investment records.
