Workshops for writers begins in Asheville Jan. 16

The Writers Workshop is offering one-day classes at 387 Beaucatcher Road, open to any writer regardless of experience.

The first workshop, Getting Published with Laine Cunningham, will be held on Saturday, January 16.

In this workshop, fiction and nonfiction writers alike will receive up-to-date information on identifying their market, finding an agent and getting published in print and on-line. Tips on networking, conferences, grants and awards will also be given. Participants may bring a query letter or three-page synopsis to the class for review.

Cunningham is a publishing consultant whose clients have received contracts from the nations top agents and publishers.
