At the weekly meeting of the Rotary Club of Tryon, Jim Van Hecke presented an update on the Polk Wellness Center. The Rotarians learned of the valuable role of the Center in treating mental health, substance use, and medical illnesses in Polk County where one fourth of the countys citizens are without health insurance. The Center, which is located in Columbus between I-26 and St. Lukes Hospital, provides comprehensive health and wellness services regardless of ones ability to pay.
