Due to a family illness, the actor who was to play Einstein in the Tryon Fine Arts Center, Tryon Painters and Sculptors play, Picasso at Lapin Agile, will not be available and with no replacement the play will have to be cancelled.

Organizers say that this is an unfortunate happening and they are disappointed but perhaps it will be shown another time.

The Tryon Painters & Sculptors Picasso Art Contest will still take place and all pieces should be brought to the lobby of the Tryon Fine Arts Center, 34 Melrose Ave., Tryon on Friday, January 8 from 3 to 5 p.m. and on Saturday, January 9 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. If there are any questions, contact Alice Bentivegna at 828-894-0390.
