Dean Thomas Dutton, age 72, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 4, 2010. He was the son of the late Orval and Dorothy Dutton.

Dean was born in Harriettsville, Ohio on December 19, 1937 and grew up in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from Garfield High School where he met his wife of 52 years, Alma Reshenberg Dutton. Dean attended the University of Akron and played baseball for Garfield and Akron University before playing two years with the Philadelphia Phillies Minor League system. He worked for BF Goodrich in QA, sales and services before retiring in 2000 from their aerospace division in Jacksonville, Fla.

Dean enjoyed the many friends he met while playing baseball for over 10 years in Akron and on the golf courses for his last 35 years. No matter where Dean went, he made friends. His son Dean Michael Chip Dutton and his wife Carol of Lexington, SC, and his two daughters, Tracie Conner and her husband, Curt of Columbus, NC and Jill Donaldson and her husband Scott of Jacksonville, FL and his grandchildren, Dean and Drew Dutton, Maggie and Andy Conner and Jake Donaldson and a brother, Jack Dutton and his wife Dolly of Benning, CA and his many nieces and nephews in Spokane, WA and California will greatly miss him as well as his furry Cocker Spaniel companion Randy and his many, many good friends that he grew up with in Ohio. Keep on smiling, joking and laughing until were together again in heaven.
