Genelle Scoggins Rickenbacker

Genelle Scoggins Rickenbacker, 83, of Second Street, Tryon, NC died Sunday, January 3, 2010 in White Oak Manor, Tryon, NC.
A life long resident of Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Claude Earl and Eloise Foster Scoggins.&bsp; She was the widow of Herbert Lee Ace Rickenbacker who died in 2001.&bsp; Genelle retired from Alltel Phone Company, Tryon, NC in 1987.&bsp; Mrs. Rickenbacker was a member of the Tryon United Methodist Church.
Surviving is a daughter, Sally Ann Rickenbacker Swannie (Scott) of Charleston, SC and a brother, Carroll Scoggins (Emily Rose) of Tryon, NC.&bsp; Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.&bsp; She was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Scoggins who died in 2004.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon NC with Dr. Neil Haynes officiating.
Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel just prior to the service.
The family will be at the home of a friend, Christine Glover, 64 Vista Terrace, Tryon, NC.
