John Calbert Fowler

John Calbert Fowler, 79, of Inman died December 29, 2009 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House. He was the son of the late Collett and Florence Biggerstaff Fowler and husband of Hazel Wagner Fowler for 60 years.
He was retired from Southern Railway, served in the U. S. Army Air Corps, a member of Landrum Masonic Lodge #278, a member and former deacon of Motlow Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Don Fowler of Lyman, Ricky Fowler (Colleen) of Gowensville; a daughter, Janice Jackson (Johnny) of Lyman; two brothers, Ray Fowler of Lyman, Hugh Fowler of Gowensville; two sisters, Edith Hannon of Greer, Dorothy Bullard of Lyman; four grandchildren, Jason Fowler, Jessica Thompson, Johnathan Jackson, Jennifer Jackson; four great grandchildren, Madison Jackson, Kaitlynn Jackson, Russell Fowler and Jasmine Escalante.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Angus, Alvin, Gilmer, James and a sister, Alta Mae Burress.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. December 31, 2009 at Motlow Creek Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Terry Rainey and Jason Fowler. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites.
