Lake Adger Santas deliver new books for kids at Polk County Public Library

Members of the Lake Adger Book Club continued their tradition of purchasing childrens books for the Polk County Public Library this year with the addition of 30 new titles for the juvenile collection.

Childrens librarian, Joy Sharp, attended the clubs annual holiday celebration and collected an assortment of current best sellers and timeless classics.

Among the new titles at the library this Christmas are, Fancy Nancys Splendiferous Christmas, A Christmas Carol, A Kids Silver Spoon Cookbook, Roots, Shoots, Buckets and Bolts, a kids gardening book, two new books about recycling, and the classics King of the Wind and Where the Wild Things Are, among many others.

During difficult budget years like were all facing now, a gift like this is immeasurable for both the library and our youngest patrons, said Sharp. It is so rewarding to see adults pass their love of books and reading on to the children in their community.
