Last month the citys water loss was 44 percent and the city has been experiencing overly high amounts of water losses for years. The water loss percentage usually fluctuates five to 10 percent above or below last months 44 percent.

Williams said there are a few leaks in particular that the city has been unable to identify that he is hoping the new technology will be able to help find.

Williams expressed his appreciation to Hendersonville officials for allowing Saluda to borrow the leak detection technology.

Saluda is sending a couple of employees to learn Hendersonvilles system and will begin a leak detection project shortly after the training. Williams said the new technology has worked for Hendersonville and hes hoping it will have the same results for Saluda.
