Polk will be joined at the meet by several area teams, including East Henderson, West Henderson and Hendersonville high schools. Each athlete participating in the meet will contribute a can of food or $2 as an entry fee, and spectators are asked to bring a can of food or $5. Both the food and money will be given to Thermal Belt Outreach. While the event is designed to support Outreach and raise awareness about those in need, it is also an official high school track meet.
