Former Saluda councilmen Everette Hardin and Charles L. Ward, who passed away this year were recently honored with proclamations from the N.C. League of Municipalities. Saluda City Council met Monday and read those proclamations. Hardin served the city for seven years as a commissioner and mayor pro-tem. Ward served the city for three years in the 1990s and for two terms in the 1950s for a total of 11 years.
