Landrum cross country state champs honored by city

The state champion Landrum High boys and girls cross country teams were honored this week with a special presentation by Landrum City Council. They are pictured at city hall with Landrum Mayor Bob Briggs. The boys team won its second straight state championship, while the girls team joined them this year for their first state title.&bsp;

The Landrum High School State Champion cross country teams holding a fundraiser Friday for championship rings. They are pre-selling tickets for Ayers Bar B Q / Chicken meals to be served on Fri. Dec. 11 at LHS gym during four home basketball games vs. Polk County High School (game times are 4, 5:15, 6:30 and 8 p.m.).

Meal will be served beginning at 5 p.m. for sit down or carry out. See a Coach or team member or you can also call the LHS Athletic office at 864-457-2606, ext. 4900 or email: john.cann@spart1.org to reserve plates.
Walk-ups also welcome to purchase plates but the school prefers reservations or pre-sell of tickets ahead of time to insure there is enough food.
All profits go to help pay for State Championship rings for the cross country team athletes.
