Jim Hess, a past president of the Tryon Kiwanis Club, was chosen as Kiwanian of the Year by Dr. Joe Picone, president for 2008-2009. Jim was extremely supportive of club events during Joes term of office. Due to Joes absence, current president David Little presented Jim with his award at a club meeting. (photo submitted)
