A few hundred strollers in downtown Tryon Friday night enjoyed a nice dry, chilly evening ahead of the wintry mix predicted to arrive in the area Saturday.
Santa was in town, as were carolers, bell ringers and choirs.
Some folks enjoyed placing themselves in the picture, using Kathleen Carson’s lifesize drawing of Mr. and Mrs. Claus at home with the elves.
